The 1990 World Cup star set up a group last month calling for the axing of the executive committee of the Cameroonian Federation (Fecafoot).
Milla has criticised Fecafoot for the Indomitable Lions’ dwindling fortunes and lengthy ban for Samuel Eto’o.
“I’ve been waiting for this for a very long time now,” said Milla, 59.
“I was simply providing a helping hand to (Fecafoot) them to see that our country’s football gets sanity”
Roger Milla
The decision to sack Milla was made at Wednesday’s general assembly meeting of Fecafoot in Yaounde, where support was expressed for long-serving president Mohamed Iya.
Milla, who was accused of “injurious utterances against Fecafoot, its president and management staff”, has often clashed with Cameroon’s football authorities, accusing them of hindering progress.
Undeterred by Wednesday’s decision, he has pledged to continue his campaign to remove the Fecafoot leadership.
“I’ve got to tell you that we’re continuing our fight to get the present management of Fecafoot out of office,” Milla told Associated Press.
“This decision by Fecafoot doesn’t hurt me in the least. I was not an employee of Fecafoot. I was simply providing a helping hand to them to see that our country’s football gets sanity.”
The 1987 African Footballer of the Year’s criticism of Fecafoot came to the fore after Eto’o was banned for 15 matches for his role in last year’s players’ strike over unpaid bonuses.

Milla is Africa’s all-time top scorer at the World Cup, with a tally of five goals
Milla and the players’ union said the suspension was excessive and Fecafoot later reduced Eto’o's ban to eight months – effectively four games.
The four-time African Footballer of the Year, who currently plays in Russia, will miss the World Cup qualifiers against Congo and Libya on 2 June and 10 June respectively.
The following weekend, the Indomitable Lions must once again do without their biggest star of recent times, as they host Guinea-Bissau in a 2013 Africa Cup of Nations tie.
Denis Lavagne’s side lead 1-0 from the first leg in February, as they try to return to a competition they missed out on earlier this year.
The Indomitable Lions’ absence from the 2012 Nations Cup was particularly disappointing for their fans, with Cameroon bordering both the countries that co-hosted the finals – Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.
Cameroon have participated at five of the last six World Cups but have won just one of their last twelve games at the tournament, when beating Saudi Arabia 1-0 at the 2002 finals in Japan and South Korea.
The Indomitable Lions were ranked as Fifa’s 66th best team in February this year – their lowest rating since the world governing body began its classification in 1993.
Milla shot to prominence at the 1990 World Cup when his four goals propelled Cameroon to the quarter-finals, before extending his record as the World Cup’s oldest scorer in 1994, netting against Russia aged 42

The announcement of an England squad for a major international tournament is always a cause for much debate.
And the first effort from newly installed manager Roy Hodgson for next month’s Euro 2012 tournament, which was revealed at Wembley on Wednesday, was no different.
The 64-year-old offered a few surprises when naming his 23-man squad for the tournament in the Ukraine and Poland, notably with the inclusion of Liverpool duo Andy Carroll and Stewart Downing, and Norwich goalkeeper John Ruddy.
But for every player ecstatic at their inclusion, there are a dozen more distraught to have been overlooked.
The likes of striker Darren Bent, midfielder Jack Wilshere and defenders Kyle Walker and Chris Smalling were always fighting an uphill battle to be selected because of injury, while midfielder Paul Scholes was an outside bet despite impressing following his surprise return from club retirement for Manchester United this season.
Other omissions from the squad require further investigation. We look at five of the most high-profile absentees from Hodgson’s squad, with insight from former England international defender Danny Mills, who played in all five of his country’s games at the 2002 World Cup.

Rio Ferdinand

Position: Defender
Age: 33
Caps: 81
Club: Manchester United
The omission of the 33-year-old defender was widely reported ahead of the official squad announcement but it remained the headline even when the 23 were confirmed. Hodgson said the Manchester United man’s exclusion was purely a footballing decision. “I wanted seven defenders, with Phil Jones in the squad. I decided on my three centre-backs and Rio wasn’t one of them,” said the England manager.
Ferdinand’s manager at Manchester United, Sir Alex Ferguson, has publicly claimed the centre-back was unable to fulfil one of the big requirements of international tournament football by playing two games in four days, due to a back problem.
In addition, Ferdinand’s absence does eradicate the potential for any disharmony caused by him and fellow defender John Terry, who has been selected but is due to appear in court in July to answer allegations he racially abused Ferdinand’s brother Anton – charges the Chelsea captain denies.
It now appears as though the international career of one of England’s most talented central defenders is drawing to a close without him ever having appeared at a European Championships.
The past tense Ferdinand used to react to news of his non-selection on Twitter certainly suggests he feels the same: “Absolutely loved playing for England… To say I am gutted is an understatement of the highest order.”
Danny Mills’ view: “I would have taken Rio and John Terry, but Roy’s centre-back pairing is Chelsea’s Terry and Gary Cahill, with Ashley Cole at left-back and that brings continuity.
“Roy will have wondered if he needs Rio on the bench as a spare centre-half when he can only play one position, whereas Phil Jones is more versatile. Roy dismissed the talk of Rio’s fitness being an issue and I’d dismiss that as well.
“Roy has a limited squad to choose from so he’s obviously thought he can sacrifice Ferdinand on the basis of having Joleon Lescott and Jones as back-up.
“And I think the decision was entirely based on football. Whatever you think of Terry, he has played pretty well and is innocent until proven guilty. If players don’t get on, they don’t get on. Sometimes you have to put differences aside and I think Rio would have done that.”

Peter Crouch

Position: Striker
Age: 31
Caps: 42
Club: Stoke City
With 22 goals in 42 matches, the giant centre-forward’s international goalscoring record is better than any of the players selected ahead of him, including Wayne Rooney.
However, this is always tempered by the quality of the opposition against which he has amassed most of these goals and his continuing image as a player better suited to salvaging a game than starting one.
A decent first season for Stoke, which saw him score 13 goals – including that wonder strike against Manchester City – and win the club’s player of the year award, led to Potters boss Tony Pulis heading the calls for Crouch’s inclusion for Euro 2012.
However, with Hodgson opting to select just four forwards (despite Rooney’s suspension for the first two games), it left Crouch competing with Liverpool’s Carroll for the “big man” role, a battle the Stoke man lost.
Danny Mills’ view: “Peter Crouch would be in my squad. Again, his omission was a bit of a bolt from the blue. He has played well and he has experience. Roy wants balance and he had to weigh up what Crouch offered that Carroll didn’t.
“If Carroll is going to come on as a substitute he could well be a big impact player and be slightly fitter. I think England will play 4-5-1. Rooney is fantastic, Welbeck has had a decent season and partnership with Rooney, Defoe has that bit of pace and Carroll offers you something completely different.”

Micah Richards

Position: Defender
Age: 23
Caps: 13
Club: Manchester City
With a newly-minted Premier League winners medal in his possession and one of his chief rivals for the right-back spot ruled out through injury, Richards had a very good chance of being selected.
He also started England’s last international friendly – the 3-2 home defeat to the Netherlands in February. However, one of the positives of Richards’ recent career also appears to have counted against him.
Playing for champions Manchester City has its plusses but it also means he is less assured of a first-team spot. Despite Richards’ impressive performances earlier in the season, Pablo Zabaleta’s form limited the 23-year-old to just three substitute appearances for his club in the final month of the season.
This, combined with Hodgson’s knowledge of Glen Johnson from their time together at Liverpool, and Phil Jones’ versatility, appears to have cost Richards.
Danny Mills’ view: “I think Micah will be incredibly disappointed and rightly so. The main thing that has counted against him is that Zabaleta has done really well at City so Micah has been left out of the last few games.
“Once Walker was injured you start to look at Micah and Johnson and the latter didn’t get on too well with Roy Hodgson at Liverpool. But Phil Jones can play right-back as well. He is the Phil Neville-type player who can cover a lot of positions.”

Michael Carrick

Position: Midfielder
Age: 30
Caps: 22
Club: Manchester United
Carrick is a regular in the centre of midfield for Manchester United, but has never been more than a bit-part player for England. The 30-year-old started 27 games for his club this season and was hailed as United’s unsung hero by manager Sir Alex Ferguson as they pushed for a 20th Premier League title.
However, Carrick has amassed just 22 caps in an international career more than a decade long, and the chances of him adding to that appear to be diminishing. It seems the midfielder has grown frustrated with constantly warming the bench.
Hodgson revealed Carrick would likely have made his standby list but for the player himself stating that he does not wish to be involved in such a capacity for his country. Hodgson opted to select Liverpool’s Jordan Henderson among his back-up players instead.
Danny Mills’ view: “I was a little bit surprised that Michael Carrick was left out. Parker and Barry look to be the first-choice holding midfielders, and Carrick can slot in there. His game suits international football as he can keep hold of the ball.
“We don’t really have another holding midfielder player unless, again, Roy is looking at Phil Jones. James Milner could also fill that role.”

Aaron Lennon

Position: Midfielder
Age: 25
Caps: 19
Club: Tottenham Hotspur
It is a testimony to the influence Lennon has at Tottenham that the hamstring injury he picked up in December, and which affected him throughout much of the remainder of the season, was a significant reason why Spurs’ form dipped after such an impressive first half of the campaign.
The 25-year-old possesses that most prized of commodities: pace. Lennon doesn’t score as many goals as he should – just four this season – but when operating at full capacity he supplies many more for others.
Theo Walcott and Ashley Young were always likely to be ahead of Lennon in the pecking order, meaning the Leeds-born man was competing for a place as an impact substitute. Hodgson clearly felt Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who has played less football than Lennon in 2011-12, could bring more to this role.
Danny Mills’ view: “Aaron Lennon wouldn’t have been in my squad. I would have picked one from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain or Theo Walcott. Theo and Aaron Lennon are much of a muchness.
“They both have great pace, are very direct and good at what they do but are they going to come inside, beat three or four people? If you need to change the game, would swapping them gain you anything? Oxlade-Chamberlain is a bit different, a dribbler and unknown quantity.”

Capello junior has revealed that the former England coach was close to a move to China.
However, Marcello Lippi was appointed manager of Guangzhou – who Capello had been talking to.
Capello has also been strongly linked with taking charge at Stamford Bridge in recent days, but this has now been denied.
Asked about Chelsea, Pierfilippo told TuttoMercato: “Unfortunately, these are just wonderful inventions by newspapers.
“A future in China the same as (Marcello) Lippi? My father was already close to the same club (Guangzhou), then it all came to nothing.”
He did though insist that they would not exclude any option in the future.
“Any possibility cannot be excluded, as long as the project is successful and exciting,” he insisted

The South Korean midfielder made just 17 appearances for Sir Alex Ferguson’s side during 2011/12, and is yet to be offered a new contract, despite having just 12 months left on his current deal.
But the 31-year-old, who joined the club from PSV Eindhoven in 2005, wants to stay at Old Trafford.
“I want to retire at United,” he said. “But what I want does not always translate to reality.”

Gary Neville: Appointment backed by Beckham

David Beckham has hailed Gary Neville’s appointment as an England coach and said his old team-mate’s experience of past failures will help Roy Hodgson.
Neville, who was best man for Beckham at his star-studded wedding, has been appointed to the England coaching staff on a four-year contract.
Beckham said Neville’s past experience of problems at major tournaments, and the fact he is not afraid to speak out, could stand England and Hodgson in good stead for Euro 2012.
“I think it’s great. Gary has knowledge throughout the game,” said Beckham.
“He’s been in big tournaments, he’s played for England for many years.
“Gary has always been very vocal about many things. He’s had the experience of being through tournaments and being disappointed in tournaments and knowing what he thinks have been the problems – that’s why it’s a clever move and great for the team.
“Let’s hope we go out there and we’re successful. It’s a new team, young players.
“It’s one of the first times we have gone into a big competition without huge, huge expectation on our shoulders – that could maybe be a good thing for the team.”
Neville holds UEFA A and B coaching licences and has 85 England caps. He played in five major tournaments for England: Euro 96, Euro 2000, Euro 2004, plus the 1998 and 2006 World Cups – he was injured in 2002.
Beckham, speaking in Athens where he has been part of London 2012′s official delegation for the Olympic torch handover, joked: “Roy Hodgson is a brave man” and said he hoped England could go all the way in Poland and Ukraine.
“(Neville’s appointment) is a very clever thing but it’s also great for the players and the manager,” he added.
“To have someone with his knowledge as well as Roy’s knowledge. It’s a very clever thing to do. I wish Gary the best of luck.
“I hope we can go all the way – that has obviously always been our main objective in every competition that we have gone in to. You do not go in to a competition thinking ‘let’s see if we can make the quarters and see what happens’.
“You always go in thinking you can go all the way. Whether it happens, which obviously it has not happened in the last quite few years, that always remains the objective.”

Collected from his home town of Kristiansund in Villa owner Randy Lerner’s private jet, Solskjaer was joined on the flight by wife Silje.
After Lerner sacked Alex McLeish on Monday after a wretched 11 months in charge, Solskjaer is seemingly seen by the owner as the young, progressive manager to take Villa forward.
After 11 seasons as a player with Manchester United and a further two and a half years at Old Trafford as reserve team manager, the 39-year-old returned to Molde in 2010 after spending two years at the club as a player in the mid-1990s.
Last October, at the end of his first season in charge, Solskjaer guided Molde to their first Norwegian League title in their 100-year history.
Villa and Solskjaer are now in talks, as confirmed by Molde in a club statement.
“Molde Football Club is aware of interest and contact from Aston Villa, and is aware that Aston Villa and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are talking together,” it read.
Despite Solskjaer’s lack of managerial experience, Jan-Aage Fjortoft, Erik Thorstvedt and John Carew all feel he would be a success at Villa Park.
Former Swindon and Middlesbrough striker Fjortoft, now a television presenter, said: “Every Villa supporter will ask, ‘Is he too inexperienced?’, and if they lose a game, people will say, ‘Well, he is inexperienced’.
“But I’ve seen so many useless managers in English football, then and now, so Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have no problem coping with that, given the knowledge, the experience he has from the game.”
Speaking on Sky Sports News, Fjortoft added: “When he came to Norway, to move out of the Manchester United bubble, for a lot of people that would have been tough because you are at your own club.
“But Ole has been a great leader for Molde. He always supports his team, and is clear in the demands of his players.
“He won’t be Alex Ferguson, he will be Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but very influenced by the life he has had at Manchester United.
“He has always been a learner, and he will be a great, great manager.”
Thorstvedt, Tottenham goalkeeper from 1989-1996, appreciates Villa would be taking a gamble on someone with only 18 months’ experience as a league manager.
The 49-year-old said: “It’s a surprise he is possibly going to be offered such a big job so early.
“But he is very clever, really sensible, and what he says always makes sense.
“He would possibly have thought, ‘This is too early for me and I need more experience before I take on a big job like Villa’.
“But if he feels he is ready, then go for it. It’s a great chance at a club that was almost relegated this season.
“So maybe the expectations aren’t that big and the upside is massive if he can succeed.
“He’s played attractive, fluent, passing football in Norway, and it’s a Villa side that are a bit jaded, in a need of an energy injection.
“I think he can do that because of his personality and the style of football he wants to play.”
The downside, however, is Solskjaer’s long-stated ambition to one day manage United, which would imply that Villa would be nothing more than a stepping stone.
Thorstvedt added: “I know his dream is to end up managing Manchester United one day, but he has to take it step by step.
“But if he can take on Villa and do well, the road to Man United will be a lot quicker than he might have anticipated.”
Former Villa star Carew believes Solskjaer is an ideal candidate to lead the midlands club out of the doldrums.
Carew, who spent four years with Villa, scoring 52 goals in 133 appearances, said: “This would be a fantastic job for Ole Gunnar to have.
“He has the mentality and respect from players he needs to succeed, and I think Villa will work really well under his leadership.
“Everything suggests Solskjaer can have a great managerial career in England.”
Villa fans have so far welcomed the link to Solskjaer, with 86% from nearly 600 votes on one internet forum giving their approval.
